Langage Farm cream cheese pastry filled with fruits and nuts

Ingredients

Pastry

227g Langage Farm full fat cream cheese

225g butter

350g plain flour

2 tbspn Vanilla essence

Filling

175g mixed dried fruit

150g nuts (pecan or walnut)

2 tbspn ground cinnamon

Directions

Mix Langage Farm full fat cream cheese with butter and vanilla essence until creamy, add flour.  Place dough in fridge to chill for an hour.

In a blender chop fruit, nuts and cinnamon as coarse or finely as you wish.

Roll out chilled pastry and cut into triangles.  Spread each triangle with Apricot preserve.  Add a spoonful of fruit and nut mix, then roll the pastry up from the wide end to the point.  Brush each finished triangle with Apricot preserve on the outside and place on a baking tray.  Put in a pre heated oven at 190°C for 10 – 15 mins until golden.  Enjoy warm or cold.
