Great to have Mims Davies MP, Minister for Employment, visit Langage Farm, Devon last week.
During our meeting and tour of our production facilities, we discussed the history of the family farm and what we have done working alongside the DWP and Jobcentre to give employment to as many people as possible and also the #kickstart scheme that we took part in earlier in the year.
Helping youngsters get a foot on the employment ladder through work placements is a very positive idea.We discussed how the best way to retain good employees is by showing reciprocal loyalty to those who show loyalty to us by turning up day in and day out, I believe that’s the least we can do.
The Minister was very interested to see the glass jar production facilities making our luxury indulgent yogurts for M&S Aldi and hearing about our Anaerobic Digestion power plant next door.We were happy to send the Minister and her team on to their next visit with some samples of Langage Farm ice cream to cool them in the hot weather, we hope they enjoyed them!
