Deserving family gifted with Pantomime

After another challenging year for many families across the UK, Langage Farm decided to spread a little cheer and treat a local family to a trip to the Theatre Royal Plymouth’s Pantomime to see Sleeping Beauty.

Langage Farm used social media to ask people to nominate a family they think deserved a special treat in December.  “With the cost-of-living crisis and other challenges, 2022 has been a tough year for many.

The competition ran for 2 weeks starting 14th December with posts on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter. One winner was chosen at random – a grandmother who is a fulltime carer and had done a great deal in the Covid lockdowns for her customers – going above and beyond.

“We wish we could have given everyone tickets,”  added Steve Davies, Langage Farm’s National Marketing and Account Manager..  “Being able to enjoy quality time together is incredibly important to bring families together, and particularly for the little ones. The show was spectacular and it was wonderful to hear how much the winner enjoyed it.”

The winning family saw Sleeping Beauty in January 2023. “Thank you so much for the pantomime tickets,” added winner Sarah Crook. “We had an amazing time and my little girl really loved her first time at the theater. Of course we had a Langage farm ice cream in the interval as well. You haven’t really been to the theatre if you haven’t had an ice cream in the interval”

The Theatre Royal Pantomime starred soap star and panto legend Shane Richie as he was joined by X Factor Winner Matt Terry, the fabulous Ceri Dupree, the hilarious Peter Piper, Stephanie McKenzie as the title role and West End star Jarnéia Richard-Noel.

“The Theatre Royal Plymouth pantomime is renowned as one of the best in the country with all the glitter and glamour Plymouth theatregoers have come to expect. We were delighted to be able to spread a little cheer to those that might not usually get the chance to experience the theatre.”
