Devonshire Clotted Cream at Westminster

Langage Farm Devonshire Clotted Cream proves a hit at Westminster

Langage Farm’s award-winning clotted cream was the most popular item on the Awards table as Food Drink Devon took the best of the county’s food and drink to the Houses of Parliament.

Langage Farm’s Devonshire Clotted Cream, which was recently awarded Platinum at the Food Drink Devon Awards 2026, was served as part of the Devon cream teas to MPs, parliamentary staff and press on 14 October. It proved the most popular item on the Platinum Award Winners table, highlighting the superior provenance of Devon produce.

The Platinum Award is the latest in a long run of successes for Langage Farm, which is regularly among the winners at regional and national food and drink awards. Made with milk from Jersey and Guernsey cows, their Clotted Cream is a rich, golden clotted cream with the authentic taste of Devon.

Food Drink Devon took the county’s produce to Westminster in London, to champion the independent businesses behind it. Seven members attended in person, and a further 14, including Langage Farm, were represented through samples on the Platinum table. The visit was organised with the support of South Devon MP Caroline Voaden.

The afternoon also included a round table where members, Food Drink Devon Directors and MPs discussed issues facing the sector, including food security, economic growth, skills, infrastructure and business competitiveness.

Steve Davies, National Accounts & Marketing Manager at Langage Farm, said: “We’re so proud that our Platinum-winning clotted cream represented Devon at Westminster. Devon (Tavistock) is the home of the original Cream Tea after all!” said Steve. “We’re so lucky in Devon to be surrounded by so much high-quality produce. A big thanks to Food Drink Devon for showcasing and championing the County at the House of Commons.”

The event showed the quality of Devon’s produce and the importance of making sure the voices of the county’s independent businesses are heard at national level.
