Langage Farm – which produces a range of luxury dairy products – picked up 8 awards including the Sustainability Pioneer Award at the Food Drink Devon Awards 2022 event last night, held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Plymouth.

Presented by the Met Office and climate change scientist;  Pete Falloon, Langage Farm was also presented the inaugural Food Drink Devon Sustainability Pioneer Award.

“The Sustainability Pioneer Award celebrates sustainability in the food, drink and hospitality,”  said Steve Davies, Langage Farm’s National Account & Marketing Manager. “Launched this year, in collaboration with The Met Office, this new award recognises effective sustainable activities, innovation and communication and we are delighted to be recognised for our environmental efforts alongside 7 other awards for our luxury dairy products.”

The Food Drink Devon awards celebrate the very best Devon has to offer by recognising and championing the county’s most respected, influential and passionate artisan food and drink producers and establishments.

“These prestigious awards add to a range of awards Langage Farm have successfully scooped over recent weeks” added Steve.  “2022 has been a fantastic year for us. We’ve received a number of awards and commendations in regional competitions recognising the high quality of our dairy products. We were recently awarded five Golds and one Commendation from Taste of the West, plus, the Champion Product for our Luxury Lemon Curd Layered Yogurt and The South West Sustainability Award.  We are all so proud.”

Langage Farm is a family run business that has been producing its renowned, traditional Devonshire clotted cream since 1948. The farm produces dairy foods for sale across Devon and Cornwall, and also nationally through partnerships with supermarkets such as M&S and ALDI, usually on a “Best Of” or “Specially Selected” basis. “Our luxury yogurt, clotted cream (including flavoured creams) and ice cream are made from milk produced on our adjacent farm,” added Steve. “We use our own herd of Channel Island cows grazing on the lush green West Devon fields.”

“Winning these highly respected awards means so much to us all. And to receive the inaugural Sustainability Pioneer Award – the first time it has been presented by Food Drink Devon, really is the icing on the cake for us.”
