Chocolate Cream Dip

Rich, indulgent and completely irresistible — this one will disappear very quickly at any picnic!

Prep time: 10 minutes | Chill time: 30 minutes**

You’ll need:

  • 1 tub of Langage Farm Devonshire Clotted Cream
  • 3 tbsp good quality cocoa powder, sifted
  • 3 tbsp icing sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • To serve: fresh strawberries, banana slices, shortbread fingers, marshmallows or wafer biscuits

Method:

  1. Spoon the Langage Farm Clotted Cream into a bowl. Add the sifted cocoa powder, icing sugar, vanilla extract and pinch of sea salt.
  2. Fold everything together gently but thoroughly until you have a rich, thick, gloriously chocolatey cream. Taste and add a little extra icing sugar if you’d like it sweeter.
  3. Spoon into a jar or sealed pot and chill for 30 minutes before packing — it firms up beautifully and travels perfectly in a cool bag.
  4. At your picnic, set out your dippers and let everyone help themselves!

Langage Farm Tip: For an extra special touch, stir through a teaspoon of good quality orange zest — chocolate and orange is a match made in Devon heaven!
