Langage Farm at The House Of Commons

Championing quality, sustainability and provenance, Food Drink Devon is shining a light on the county’s food and drink with Langage Farm to a national audience with a special event at the Houses of Parliament today.

Langage Farm joined other local companies including Luscombe Drinks, Hattiers Rum, Salcombe Gin and Sharpham Wines.

Greg Parsons, chair of Food Drink Devon, says: “It’s exciting to be hosting a ‘Taste of Devon’ event with Anthony Mangnall MP in the House of Commons at the Palace of Westminster to showcase the best of Devon’s food and drink industry to an influential audience. Last year Devon was named as one of the ‘planet’s most unmissable tourist destinations’ in a globally read Time magazine.

Greg continues: “Devon is home to a flourishing food and drink sector with more than its fair share of award-winning producers and hospitality businesses. Lush pasture, high moorland and miles of coast yield delicious meat and dairy, abundant seafood and Michelin stars, but Devon also has bright, new start-ups and exciting foodie entrepreneurs who merit a wider audience.”

Langage Farm prepared Devon Cream Teas to showcase their famous clotted cream – cream first of course – topped with jam, as well as their glass jar yogurts. By the end of the day, Langage had completely run out of all samples which were quickly enjoyed by the MP’s and their support staff!

With a focus on quality, sustainability and provenance, Langage Farm have won several awards for both environment and product. They are the only UK dairy with a working farm, manufacturing plant and Anaerobic Digester all on the same site and is the UK’s first carbon neutral dairy farm.

Langage Farm has been a family run business for over 40 years producing luxury, multi award-winning dairy products including traditional and flavoured clotted cream, yogurts and ice cream for sale across Devon and Cornwall, and nationally through a number of major supermarkets.
