How Our Award-Winning Products Start with Exceptional Farming

Four years ago, Gareth Wyn-Evans took the reins of our 260 Jersey cow herd with a clear mission: to boost milk yields and enhance cow health. And his efforts are truly paying off!

The New Approach to Cow Nutrition
As featured in Dairy Farmer Magazine; initially the cows were fed a traditional  diet to balance their nutrients. However, 18 months ago, Gareth, along with the farm’s nutritionist, Mr. Jones, switched to a calcium and phosphorus mix. This change has been much gentler on the cows, significantly improving their health and the quality of the milk they produce.

Jersey cows need a specialised diet, which includes regular testing of the grass they eat. This meticulous approach ensures the highest quality milk and health of the herd.

Farm Facts:

Improved Health and Productivity
The specialist diet is crucial for a cow’s well-being. By producing extra potassium and focusing on cow health, the farm has seen significant advancements.

Clean and Healthy Practices
Breeding is done indoors, and the farm operates separate yards to ensure optimal conditions for the cows. These practices, combined with precise nutritional care, ensure the cows are healthy and productive.
