As we welcome the wonderful month of September and the transition into autumn, the Devonshire hedgerows are bursting with plump, juicy wild blackberries. If you are looking for a vibrant, fresh, and simple snack or breakfast idea that skips the pastry entirely, these portable yogurt pots are an absolute dream.
4 individual glass jars or sealable pots
400g Langage Farm Natural Yogurt
200g fresh blackberries (plus a few extra for topping)
4 tablespoons of your favourite granola or toasted oats
2 tablespoons local wildflower honey
A sprig of fresh mint to garnish
Prepare the fruit: Give your blackberries a gentle rinse and pat them dry. Lightly crush about half of them with a fork to release their vibrant juices, keeping the rest whole for a wonderful texture.
Layer the base: Spoon a generous layer of creamy Langage Farm Natural Yogurt into the bottom of each jar.
Add the berries: Spoon over a layer of the crushed and whole blackberries along with their delicious natural juices.
Repeat: Repeat the yogurt and blackberry layers once more, finishing with a final dollop of yogurt on top.
The finishing touch: Top each pot with a sprinkle of granola or toasted oats for a satisfying crunch, a lovely drizzle of honey, and a few reserved whole blackberries with a sprig of mint.
Enjoy: Seal your jars and pop them into your bag for a fresh, wholesome taste of heaven from Devon wherever your September adventures take you!
