Smoky BBQ Grilled Peaches

Looking for a fast sweet treat to finish off your outdoor feast? This super simple recipe lets the flames of the barbecue do the hard work while you relax with family and friends. Made by hand by local people right here on our working farm in Devon, our luxurious clotted cream ice cream, crafted from the rich milk of our Jersey and Guernsey cows, provides the ultimate creamy contrast to warm, juicy summer stone fruit.

For a true taste of the Devonshire countryside, we recommend a generous scoop of Langage Farm Clotted Cream Ice Cream. It’s our year after year best-seller for a reason, and its velvety texture is the perfect partner to caramelised peaches.

Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 4 minutes | Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe peaches, halved and stoned

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

  • 1 tub of Langage Farm Clotted Cream Ice Cream

  • 1 punnet of fresh raspberries

  • A crushed handful of toasted pecans for crunch

Method:

  1. Prep the peaches: Brush the cut sides of the peach halves lightly with melted butter and a touch of maple syrup.

  2. Grill: Place the peaches cut-side down on the barbecue grill for 3 to 4 minutes until they are warm, tender, and beautifully charred.

  3. Assemble: Place two warm peach halves on each plate, cut-side facing up.

  4. The grand finale: Drop a generous scoop of our award-winning Langage Farm Clotted Cream Ice Cream right into the hollow where the stone used to be. Top with a handful of fresh raspberries and a sprinkle of toasted pecans for a gorgeous texture and flavour contrast. Enjoy a little heaven from Devon straight from your BBQ!
