Ice Cream for Coffee Lovers

It’s National Coffee Day today, so we’re pausing our tea-and-clotted-cream loyalties for the occasion!

Today, we’re raising a mug (and a spoon) to the best coffee-and-dairy pairing we know: our Coffee Mocha Luxury Ice Cream.

This is my current favourite flavour.  A close second is the classic Italian dessert Affogato…but made with creamy Langage Farm Ice Cream…

The Langage affogato

  • Make a strong coffee. Espresso is perfect, but a good strong cafetière works too.
  • Put a generous scoop of Langage Coffee Mocha Luxury Ice Cream or Clotted Cream Vanilla in a cup or glass.
  • Pour the hot coffee over the top.
  • Eat immediately, with a spoon, before it melts!

That’s the whole recipe. The hot coffee turns the ice cream into a creamy sauce, so you get a drink and a dessert in one glass.

Make it your own

Add a biscuit on the side for dunking. Try a splash of your favourite liqueur for a grown-up version. Serve it in a fancy glass and call it “a café-style dessert.” Nobody needs to know it took two minutes.

So whether you’re an espresso devotee or a milky latte fan, join us today with a scoop of something luxurious from Devon.

Happy National Coffee Day!

The Autumn Kitchen
