From 26th September to 12th October 2025, communities, schools, restaurants, and food lovers across the UK will come together to celebrate British Food Fortnight — the nation’s biggest annual celebration of the incredible food and drink produced right here in Britain.
Now in its 24th year, this two-week festival is all about championing homegrown produce, supporting local farmers and producers, and encouraging everyone to enjoy the diverse and delicious ingredients grown on their doorstep.
At Langage Farm, we’re proud to be part of Britain’s rich food heritage. Based in the heart of Devon, we’ve been producing dairy products for generations, using milk from our own cows and other local farms. Events like British Food Fortnight remind us just how special British farming is — and how important it is to support the people and places behind the food we love.
Why British Food Fortnight Matters
British Food Fortnight is more than just a celebration of flavour. It’s about bringing communities together, shining a spotlight on sustainability, and making sure future generations understand where their food comes from.
This year’s event is set to be bigger than ever, with activities happening across the UK, including:
Schools and Universities: Fun foodie lessons, cooking activities, and special menus designed to inspire young people to get excited about local, seasonal food.
Hospitals and Care Homes: NHS Trusts and care homes will feature British produce on menus for patients, staff, and residents.
Restaurants and Pubs: From your local pub to Michelin-starred restaurants, chefs will be creating menus that showcase the best of British ingredients.
Markets and Food Festivals: Vibrant food festivals, meet-the-producer events, and tastings are happening across the country — including the famous Abergavenny Food Festival and Thame Food Festival.
Communities and Villages: Market towns, villages, and cities will be hosting harvest-themed events, celebrating the traditional time of year for giving thanks for local produce.
As proud producers of Devon dairy, Langage Farm’s clotted cream, yogurts, and artisan products are the perfect example of the quality food British farming has to offer. Our clotted cream is crafted using traditional methods, making it a favourite for everything from afternoon teas to indulgent desserts.
This autumn, why not celebrate British Food Fortnight by enjoying some of Devon’s finest? Whether it’s dolloping our creamy yogurt over seasonal berries, baking with our rich cream, or topping a warm scone with our famous clotted cream, it’s a perfect way to embrace local, homegrown flavours.
