Your Flexible Friend This Christmas!

Christmas has arrived & it’s the perfect time for your flexible friend. No, not the credit card….a pot of Langage Farm Clotted Cream!

For the Langage Farm fans amongst us, we know that there’s so much more to the little pot of creamy deliciousness than simply mince pies and Xmas pudding!  Which by the way, it does go perfectly with!

No, there’s a whole host of other things to use it for from adding to soups, stews and curries (think leftover turkey curry in between Christmas and New Year!)

You can also add a spoonful of clotted cream to risotto just before serving to really add to the creaminess just before serving.

Recipe Ideas …

Garlicky Mushrooms

Did you know you can add our multi award winning clotted cream to mashed potato for a little bit of luxury? Simply replace the butter and milk with a good dollop of clotted cream. For Jacket Potatoes, again, replace the butter or sour cream with clotted cream.  A little known fact – clotted cream contains less calories than butter!

Sauté mushrooms in a little garlic or other flavoured butter and then finish them off by stirring in some clotted cream.

Rich Creamy Scrambled Eggs

Add clotted cream at the end of cooking instead of butter or double cream

Pancake Topping

A dollop of clotted cream together with whatever other pancake topping you fancy.

Rice Pudding

Just stir in some clotted cream with the jam.

New Creams on the block!

And now, you’re also really spoilt for choice as we don’t just make traditional clotted cream but flavoured ones too!  Vanilla, chocolate and strawberry clotted creams which we make for Marks & Spencer’s Collection range.  Plus, Chocolate and Chocolate Orange – which doubles up as both a hot or cold accompaniment which you can get from Aldi.

Where to buy?

As well as M&S and Aldi stocking a variety of flavours, you can get your delicious clotted cream locally across Devon from Tesco, Waitrose, Morrisons and farm shops. For those further afield there is always the online option with our Cream By Post – see here. Make sure you order by 4pm on Friday 17th to ensure delivery before Xmas.
