Our Roots: The Harvey Family Legacy

Our journey as Langage Farm Dairy began in the 1980s when the Harvey family started producing our famous products. They took the simple, traditional practice of making clotted cream and applied a dedication to quality that quickly set us apart. 

This legacy of quality inspires our continuous dedication to using the best ingredients. Our award-winning products—from our iconic Devonshire Clotted Cream and creamy Yogurts to our luxurious Ice Creams—are all made by hand, right here on the farm.

The Jersey & Guernsey Difference

The key to our excellence is our own herd of Jersey and Guernsey cows. These special breeds produce milk that is naturally rich, golden, and high in cream content. It’s this exceptional milk that gives our products their superior flavour and texture, helping us to be year after year winners of lots of awards.

Proudly Devon, Proudly Local

We are intensely proud of our Devon home. The mild climate, lush pastures, and views of Dartmoor and the sea create the perfect environment for happy, healthy cows. Our entire operation is built on supporting the local community: our products are made by local people, and our entire process is managed on the farm, giving us total control over the process from cow to pot.

We are also deeply committed to being eco-friendly, ensuring that our modern dairy practices work in harmony with the historic land and stunning natural environment of our county.
