Fish pie


500g fish diced (smoked haddock, smoked salmon, cod)

200g prawns

227g Langage Farm crème fraiche

salt, pepper, paprika

1 fish stock cube

milk & flour for sauce

700g potatoes – mashed with butter and milk

grated cheese for topping


Boil potatoes and mash with milk and butter.

Make a white sauce with butter, 1 tbsp. flour and milk, add fish stock (fish stock cube melted with a little hot water).  Add Langage Farm crème fraiche, salt, pepper and paprika.  Sauce needs to be nice thick consistency.

Place fish and prawns in an ovenproof dish, cover with sauce, ensuring all fish pieces are completely covered.  Add mash potatoes on top and sprinkle with cheese and/or dry fried onions.

Bake in oven at 180°C for 30 – 40 mins.  Enjoy with vegetables of your choice.
