Devon Affogato!

A luxurious twist on a classic Italian favourite!!

Affogato is traditionally made with vanilla gelato and espresso, but using Langage Farm’s Clotted Cream Vanilla Ice Cream brings a rich Devon twist to this Italian treat. It’s the perfect light yet indulgent way to end a meal — whether it’s a sunny garden lunch or a more formal dinner with friends.

You’ll need:

Langage Farm Clotted Cream Vanilla Ice Cream

Freshly brewed espresso (or very strong coffee)

Optional: coffee liqueur or dark chocolate shavings

Method:

Scoop one generous ball of ice cream into a small glass or espresso cup.

Brew a strong espresso and pour it directly over the ice cream just before serving.

For a grown-up version, add a splash of coffee liqueur like Tia Maria or Kahlúa.

Garnish with a few chocolate shavings or a coffee bean if desired.
