Creamy Coronation Chicken Baguettes

Serves 4 | Ready in 15 minutes

A true British classic with a fresh, modern twist – this Creamy Coronation Chicken is made lighter and tangier with Langage Farm natural yoghurt. It’s still got that sweet-and-spiced flavour we all love, but without the heaviness of mayo. Stuff it into crusty baguettes or wraps for the ultimate bank holiday lunch, picnic filler or BBQ side.

  • Ingredients:
300g cooked chicken, shredded (leftover roast or shop-bought works well)
  • 4 tbsp Langage Farm natural yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp mango chutney
  • 1 tsp mild curry powder
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric (optional for colour)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp sultanas (optional, for sweetness)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Crusty baguettes, wraps, or soft rolls
  • Fresh lettuce or baby spinach to serve

Method:

  • Mix the sauce:
In a bowl, stir together the yoghurt, mango chutney, curry powder, turmeric (if using), and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the chicken:
Fold the shredded chicken and sultanas (if using) into the yoghurt mixture until evenly coated.
  • Assemble the baguettes:
Slice your baguettes or rolls, layer with lettuce or spinach, then generously spoon in the coronation chicken.
  • Serve:
Delicious straight away or packed into lunchboxes and picnic baskets. Also lovely with a side of crisps or a simple green salad.

🌟 Tips & Twists:
Add a handful of chopped spring onions or fresh coriander for extra zing.

Use wholemeal wraps or soft pitta for a lighter option.

Make mini brioche sliders for party-style servings.
