Clotted Cream & Spiced Apple Crumble

This warm, spiced apple crumble paired with clotted cream is a simple yet delicious dessert perfect for the festive season!

Ingredients:

  • 4 large apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 100g plain flour
  • 75g butter, cubed
  • 50g sugar
  • 100g Langage Farm clotted cream

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan) or 350°F. Grease a baking dish.

  2. Prepare the apples: Place the sliced apples in the baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon, ginger, and brown sugar. Toss to coat the apples evenly.

  3. Make the crumble topping: In a separate bowl, rub the butter into the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar.

  4. Assemble: Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the spiced apples.

  5. Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crumble topping is golden and the apples are tender.

  6. Serve: Once baked, serve warm with a generous spoonful of clotted cream on top.
