Chocolate Sponge & Caramel Trifle

Celebrate National Chocolate Week with this indulgent Chocolate Sponge Trifle with Caramel Sauce.

Chocolate Sponge & Caramel Trifle
Serves 4 | Prep & Chill: 20 minutes + 1 hour chilling

Ingredients:

  • 150g chocolate sponge or brownie pieces

  • 200ml double cream

  • 3 tbsp Langage Farm clotted cream

  • 3–4 tbsp caramel sauce

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • Chocolate or toffee pieces, for topping

Method:

  1. In a bowl, whip the double cream with sugar until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the Langage Farm clotted cream for extra creaminess.

  2. Layer chocolate sponge/brownie pieces at the bottom of serving glasses or a bowl.

  3. Drizzle over a generous layer of caramel sauce.

  4. Spoon over a layer of the chocolate-clotted cream mixture. Repeat layers if desired.

  5. Dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle chocolate or toffee pieces on top for crunch and extra indulgence.

  6. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Tip: Make individual servings for a fun presentation, or prepare a larger trifle for a show-stopping dessert.
