Ingredients:

350g (12 oz) tagliatelle pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
200g (1 cup) diced chicken or mushrooms (optional)
250ml (1 cup) Langage Farm double cream
100g (1 cup) grated strong mature cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking dish and set it aside.

Cook the tagliatelle pasta according to packet instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, then add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.

If using, add the diced chicken or mushrooms to the pan and cook until they’re cooked through.

Reduce the heat to low and pour in the Langage Farm double cream. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.

Add the cooked tagliatelle pasta to the cream sauce and toss until the pasta is evenly coated.

Stir in half of the grated  cheddar cheese into the pasta mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer the creamy tagliatelle mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the top is golden brown.

Once baked, remove the tagliatelle bake from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, before serving.
