Cheese & chives sour cream bread


225g self raising flour

30g butter

1 tbsp. chopped chives

200g sour cream

150ml warm water or milk

150g grated cheese (red Leicester)

1 tsp. salt

1 tbsp. paprika


Put flour, salt, paprika, chives and cheese in a bowl and mix together.  In a separate jug/bowl mix sour cream and water(milk).  Pour sour cream mixture into bowl of mixed flour and mix until it forms a nice dough.  Form a round flat shape and score the top with a knife.  Sprinkle with some grated cheese.

Heat oven to 180°C and bake in top of oven for 20 mins, then place further down in oven and continue to bake for 15 – 20 mins.  Bread is ready when you tap it and it sounds hollow.

Cut open and eat while still warm.  Enjoy with some home made soup!
