Chocolate cheese & strawberry tart


330g plain flour

20g cocoa powder

125g soft butter

125g caster sugar

2 eggs

400g Langage Farm curd cheese

200g dark chocolate 85% cocoa

300g strawberries



In a bowl mix butter, sugar and eggs until creamy, slowly add cocoa powder and flour.

Prepare a baking tins or round ceramic dishes with butter.  Place mixture into the tins and press down ensuring you have some of the mixture around the sides.  Bake in oven at 170°C for approx 15-20mins, until firm.  (place baking beads on top to stop pastry rising)

Leave pastry to cool.

Melt chocolate in microwave or in a bowl over boiling water.  Place Langage Farm curd cheese in a bowl and mix in the melted chocolate.  Spoon mixture into the cooled pastry case.

Cut strawberries in half and place on top.  Leave to cool overnight in the fridge.

Delicious with a dollop of Langage Farm clotted cream of whipped Langage Farm double cream.
